Pacific Cross values our customer and is committed to protecting your privacy. We know that you purchase our products and services because you trust that we stand behind our promises. We pledge our commitment to treat your information responsibly. Our promise to you — our customer — is to protect the personal and confidential information you entrust to us.  We’ve created a privacy policy to explain how we are committed to protecting your personal, non-public information.

We may share information with our insurance company affiliates or with third parties that assist us in processing and servicing your account. We also may share your information with regulatory or law enforcement agencies, reinsurers and others, as permitted or required by law.

Our insurance companies may share information with their affiliates, but will not share information with non-affiliated third parties who would use the information to market products or services to you. We do not share the non-public personal information of our customers with any affiliated or non-affiliated companies who would use that information to market products or services to you.

Our standards for disclosure apply to all of our current and former customers.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your information to anyone for any reason. We do not share it, except to service your product. We may share this information with a business that carries out services and marketing for us. We may share your information as required or permitted by law. We may share your information for a legal or regulatory purpose or to combat fraud.

Access to personal, nonpublic information within our company is limited to those people who need the information to provide our customers with products or services. These people are expected to protect this information from inappropriate access, disclosure and modification.

Use of Information

Sometimes, we must collect information to provide you a product or to pay a claim. We do not use or share your information for any marketing purpose unless we receive your permission. We use your information when:

  1. Considering your application for insurance and offering you insurance
  2. Establishing and maintaining communication with you
  3. Underwriting your insurance application
  4. Servicing your policy, account, or claim
  5. Detecting and preventing fraud
  6. Complying with the requests from regulatory and law enforcement authorities
  7. Accounting – credit card/bank account numbers to pay premiums

Accuracy

Pacific Cross is committed to keep personal information as accurate, complete and up-to-date as necessary taking into account its use and the interests of the individual.

Access to and Correction of Personal Information

You have a right to submit a written request to access your personal information that is in our possession and make corrections to it. Such a request is to be made to the address listed below. We will respond to your request within 30 days or advise you if additional time is required to respond to your request. We will amend personal information that is demonstrated to be inaccurate or incomplete.

Our Commitment to Privacy

In the insurance and financial services business, lasting relationships are built upon mutual respect and trust. With that in mind, we will periodically review and revise our privacy policy and procedures to ensure that we remain compliant with all regulatory requirements. If any provision of our privacy policy is found to be non-compliant, then that provision will be modified to reflect the appropriate regulatory requirement. If any modifications are made, all remaining provisions of this privacy policy will remain in effect.
